Job Details
Purpose of the position:
- Manage the accounting, controlling and reporting activities.
- Be a business partner to Operations and Business Management to support the decision-making process.
Principal responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounting information in line with Linde accounting policies, procedures and IFRS.
- Work closely with the Head of Finance to develop and maintain sound internal control system.
- Responsible for the implementation of changes to controls and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company finance function.
- Prepare Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations and implement corrective actions to improve the accuracy and completeness of the company financial data.
- Ensure the company is in compliance with the local tax regulations: VAT, WHT, and income tax.
- Prepare monthly variances analysis and forecast, and annual budget.
- Partner with Operations and Business Management by providing insightful analysis and identifying risks to the company performance.
- Interact with external and internal auditors.
- Conduct special projects as assigned by Head of Finance.
Required critical behaviors or competencies:
- Able to demonstrate leadership of the finance function.
- Able to prepare proposals to the Senior Management regarding financial implications of proposed tactical plans and suggest recommendations to mitigate performance risks.
- Able to participate with other Managers to achieve the company plan and objectives.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skill:
Required key skills (functional/technical):
- Strong accounting experience: general ledger, AR, AP, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and accounts reconciliation.
- God knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Must be able to perform month-end and year-end close and reporting activity without direct supervision from the Head of FiCo KSA.
Required qualifications/experience:
- Bachelor of commerce with accounting degree.
- Qualified accountant CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent.
- Must have 5+ years accounting experience, including 2+ in a leadership role.
- Previous working in multinational organizations preferably in the same industry, or a prior Big 4 experience.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Excellent & powerful MS office experiences specially MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power point.
