AW139 Maintenance Representative

Job Details

• The Maintenance Representative is responsible to the Director of Helicopter Maintenance for the effective oversight and control of the third party maintenance provider.
• Manage the effective performance of sub-contracted activities by setting and monitoring individual objectives, managing performance, developing relationships, and motivating the maintenance staff to maximize performance.
• Guide and support the maintenance staff in the daily operation to assure that the most efficient course of action is taken to provide a serviceable aircraft on time without any compromises.

Maintenance Planning
• Develop and maintain a suitable working environment/office in order enable stable communications and access to all company IT platforms
• Organize and co-ordinate the execution of all the maintenance required to deliver an effective and responsive service of all aircraft to the highest quality and safety standards
• Plan and coordinate the work of the maintenance staff to ensure the maximum serviceability, 24-hour availability, and operability of all aircraft and its equipment.
• Review the aircraft technical status in relation to the level of the deferred defects, spares, aircraft part loans and any technical activity across the fleet; to ensure the maximum technical dispatch level and high-quality maintenance standards
• Ensure all defects, Non-Routine, MEL deferrals are evaluated, actioned, and rectified prior to the next flight
• Identify and propose solutions in conjunction with the Third Party & MCC to rectify any defects/faults that may impede operations
• Ensure that the aircraft effectivity is correct, and that the latest revision is being referenced, prior to the use of approved maintenance data
• Ensure that all maintenance staff are fully aware of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and hazards to ensure the safety of people and the aircraft

Maintenance Operation
• Verify that all work performed by the maintenance provider is being performed in accordance with approved data, within the scope of their authorization and as per company safety and quality procedures.
• Ensure maintenance is performed to the highest standards and in accordance with all relevant technical data (e.g., instructions laid down in the aircraft approved documents) and complies will all safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Oversee the preparation of all paperwork related to the maintenance activity and make sures that it done in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with current company procedures.
• Ensure that any equipment/vehicles are in a serviceable condition and ensure that repairs are executed professionally and on time to ensure readiness.
• Oversee/monitor missions from start to finish, ensuring full brief and de-brief occurs and that they are formally minute back to MCC and Senior Management.
• Ensure that maximum attention is given to the availability of company aircrafts so that company operations are uninterrupted.
• Ensure the aircraft are always prepared for operational readiness.
• Assess and validates man-hour and material costs/charges from contracted suppliers to ensure all invoices have been correctly formulated and invoiced as per contractual agreements.• GACA repair certificate, with return to service on AW139 for a minimum of 3 years.
• Experienced RII holder
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in helicopter maintenance
• In-depth knowledge of helicopter engineering and maintenance.
• Detailed understanding of safety management systems surrounding helicopter operating processes and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of downtime analysis and good knowledge of problem-solving tools.
• Good understanding of maintenance planning and the scheduling of staff
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Proficiency in English (must)
• Regulatory and Compliance know-how
• Demonstrable level of competency associated with in depth experience in the aviation industry.
• Has sound knowledge in all areas of helicopter maintenance from heavy maintenance, line maintenance, Engineering and Planning.
• Has experience in dealing with customs control for import/export of aircraft spares.
• Can demonstrate the capability to coordinate all maintenance activities in the assigned station where he/she will operate.
