Site Engineer Architectural

Job Details

· Stay involved throughout the project, adapting the plans according to budget constraints, environmental factors or client needs. Assist the Project Manager and top management in formulating plans to guide the architectural tasks in the respective project and work closely with a range of construction professionals from quantity surveyors to building services engineers.
 

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Directly manage the development of architectural designs and construction details.
· Make recommendations to the Project Manager regarding the selection and approval of sub- contractors in coordination with and through consultations with owner/client representatives.
· Notify the Project Manager/ Construction Manager of any discrepancies identified against contract documents in order for corrective action to be taken.
· Lead in resolving design and technical coordination issues with Finishes, Structure, etc. on the project.
· Manage and supervise all related activities of the staff of Architects and technical engineers (if any – depend on the project site).
· Review related construction materials, technical data and material and finishes samples submitted by contractors; ensure compliance against ministerial requirements and technical specifications.
· Assist in resolving any issues raised by contractors (e.g. requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc.); make recommendations to the reporting manager as appropriate.
· Coordination with the clients when required.
· Manage the quality control as per the approved programs.
· Overview the filling, archiving and delivery systems at the design stage.
· Review and approve the technical design phases of projects.
· Establishes, reviews and schedules work priorities for assigned staff.
· Regular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget.
· Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and parties.
· Reviews and approves all clients’ invoices on assigned projects (as per the delegation of authority matrix).
· Accountable for the quality of service and profitability on assigned projects.
· Coordinate with the Procurement Department/ Construction Manager for material selection according to approved drawing and client selection / approved.
· Participate in preparing progress reports and in verifying costs related matters in order to finalize monthly payment certificates.
· Ensure that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected as per manufacturer’s recommendations in order to avoid damage of materials.
· Assist in preparation of all communication letters, scope of works, in-house estimates and specifications.(if required).
· Contribute to managing the health and safety of all on-site personnel; report any observed safety violations to the reporting manager and/or Safety Engineer/Officer (if available).
· Assist in the training of new joiners.
· Participate in site visit, clients meetings and presentations when required.
